Recycle for Research at the Royal Adelaide Hospital
The Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Fund and recycling partner Royal Life Saving SA are pleased to announce the ‘Recycle for Research’ initiative.
Staff, patients, visitors and volunteers to the Royal Adelaide Hospital will be able to dispose of all recyclable products, such as bottles, cans, juice containers at the RAH with proceeds from the recycling going to the Hospitals’ very own fundraising arm, the Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Fund.
The Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Fund is the hospital’s very own fundraising arm, raising funds to benefit medical research and enhanced patient care.
Raising $188 Million towards medical research at the RAH in the past 20 years alone, the RAH Research Fund is proud of the important role it plays in supporting research advancements under the roof of the RAH in the heart of the biomed precinct on North Terrace.
The Recycle for Research bins are black and distributed throughout the Hospital with clear recycling stickers making them easy to recognise.
Proceeds from the Recycle for Research program go directly toward research and enhanced patient care at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Royal Life Saving SA operates as Australia’s leading water safety educator and works to prevent drowning’s across South Australia, assists to promote healthy and active lifestyles by equipping all Australians with water safety skills. Royal Life Saving SA has a diverse operation including a recycling facility, which along its other operating and fundraising activities, supports their charter of advocacy and awareness training.
Royal Life Saving SA Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tony Taylor commented that “Royal Life Saving SA are proud to be part of this Recycle for Research initiative with the RAH Research Fund, supporting the incredible work of research and enhanced patient care at the world class Royal Adelaide Hospital. We hope this is the start of a long term mutually beneficial relationship”.
Recycling for Research is a great way to demonstrate a commitment to recycling and at the same time know that you are supporting the medical research and patient care objectives of the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
